President Kennedy Stations Lesson

Accelerate and engage your US History students with this President Kennedy Stations Lesson! This is fast paced 55-minute station lesson with notes, handouts, graphic organizers, and more your kids will love! This lesson will engage them in President Kennedy and make them critically analyze the U.S. history.

Use this rigorous and comprehensive curriculum to ensure students understand the U.S hisotry. You can EDIT them to fit your class’s needs. A teacher key is provided.

This lesson includes 6 stations. You can set these up however you would like. We suggest that you set up 6 different places around the room for the stations, including a station with a computer for the video station. 

• Since there are 6 stations, you will want to plan your time with that in consideration.
  • Example schedule for a 60 minute class:
    • 5 minute introduction
    • 8 minute rotations (6 rotations) = ~50 minutes
    • 5 minute conclusion
  • You can also divide this lesson into two days if that works better for your class.
• Start class off with an explanation of the stations lesson. Explain that they will be learning about President Kennedy during the Cold War through 6 different stations. They will need to answer the questions as they go through the stations with their groups.
• Divide the class into 6 groups.
• Set a timer for each rotation to keep things on schedule!
• Discuss what they learned from each station as a class at the end.
