Accelerate and engage your government students with this bureaucracy project! Students are assigned in groups an agency they have to be the chair person for. They need to create a speech to save their agency from further budget cuts by the present. This makes for a powerful day of learning about the agencies. I give my classes two days to prepare their speeches and one to two days for presentations.
There is a project assignment, lesson plan, and rubric. This project will engage them in the content and make them critically analyze the bureaucracy.
